Poet and painter
Sohrab Sepehri was born in Kashan, a city of desert gardens, and worked as both a painter and a poet. His poems, gathered in Hasht Ketab, “Eight Books,” are known for their calm, spare language and for images of water, trees, windows and open space.
A garden in words
His poems often read like a walk through a garden, which is part of why he suits Pardis. Kashan is also home to the Fin Garden.
