Stories worth keeping
The generation that arrived in the 1970s and 80s carries memories of two homes. Their stories of leaving, arriving and building lives are in danger of being lost unless someone writes them down.
How it could work
Members interview a parent, a grandparent or an elder from their community, with a short list of questions to start. The recordings, with the speaker’s permission, are transcribed and gathered into an archive for families and researchers.
Consent first
Every story belongs to the person who tells it. Nothing is shared without their agreement.
